Some pictures from when we took a detour today to look at a typical village in Siberia. This is the true underclass in Russia. The state of the housing stock in these villages is grim. But they still smile and wave at us as we pass.
Tim will prob post a blog tomorrow about our Russian experiences....

hi dada,
so sorry i having been in touch lately (at all), but am having a great time at Radley playing cricket and football...you'll also be pleased to know that i got a good set of reports last week, and set to do well in the exams. am taking my final EVER french gcse exam on thursday which hopefully will add up to an A*(fingers crossed!)
My CCF weekend happened on sunday and monday which turned out to actually be a great success. We hopped in our little boats(3 men per boat) and off we went 7 miles down the river causing absolute carnige, chucking barrels of water at each other, water pistols, waterbombs, you name it. Anyway we finally pitched up at our destination, which was a pub. WAHOO! so we put up our tents just outside, played some football, then we got given our rashen packs(ready made spaghetti and meat balls...)which we chucked in the bin and then headed for our pub supper. So while the army and R.A.F were in the breckon beacons shivering with their rashen packs, we were in our cosey pub having pub food.LUXURY!it turned out to be a bit of a party that night because while the 3 dons were drinking in the pub getting a bit tipsy, we were doing exactly the same with some alcohol that a boy had brought, in the fields. The next day we started to head back to radley, but decided to stop off in Oxford, so off we went to crispy creme and Mc donalds,(but also stocked up on more water balloons)So within the time of 5 minutes back to radley on our boats we chucked about 200 waterballoons, and boy were we wet when we got off, i mean WOW!
Today has equally been good (tuesday)because i was invited to go to the Queens tennis competition in London, where i saw Tim Henman play singles on centre court and then Nadal playing doubles! it was brilliant. have got some good pictures. But it was annoying because i walked pass Nadal but didn't have a pen so i couldn't get his autograph!!
have got to go now but will be posting some more comments later.
love you so much dada,
your saucisson xxxx
Am cancelling our RAC rescue service subscription - can see we no longer need it once you are home. Hurry up and get to Paris, the novelty of being home alone is wearing a bit thin!
big kiss to you both, hrldxxx
